NU Car Rentals - Malta Policies & Insurance

NU Car Rentals service is provided in co-operation with Drifter Auto Rentals in Malta. Meet and Greet service is provided when valid flight information is received at time of rental. You will be met at the Arrival Terminal of the airport by an agent bearing a sign with your name. Vehicles are delivered to the airport. Delivery and collection to and from any hotel in Malta is available for EUR7.00 each way.

CDW/LDW-Collision Damage Waiver is available for EUR7.00/day. Mcmn, Mcmr, Ecmn, Ecmr, Ccmr, Ecar and Ccar - Excess is EUR 175 Sfmn, Icmr, Fcmr, Fcar, Mvmr and Mvar - Excess is EUR 350 If CDW/LDW is declined, renter will be responsible for the full value of the vehicle. PAI-Personal Accident Insurance is EUR3.50 per day. Super Coverage package include CDW/LDW, Theft and PAI and may be purchased for EUR10.50 per day; Excess is EUR0.00.

Baby/Infant and toddler seats are available upon request for EUR3.00 per day. Request must be made at time of booking. Right and Left Hand controls are not offered at this location.

Vehicles are rented with 23 litres of fuel at a cost of EUR23.50 Client will pay for fuel at the beginning of the rental and may return the car empty.

Vehicle may be dropped anywhere on the island, but renter must advise location of the drop destination at time of rental. If car is dropped off in Gozo, a EUR49.00 drop fee will apply.

Vehicle may not be taken off the island, with the exception of Gozo.

Minimum rental age is 21, maximum is 75. Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 will be required to pay an underage fee of EUR5.50/day. Additional drivers will be charged EUR3.50/day Senior drivers between 70 and 75 will be charged EUR5.50/day. All drivers must possess a major credit card in his or her name hold a current, non-probationary license from their country of residence, or an international driver's permit in conjunction with a valid license. All renters must meet all rental requirements and have their name on the rental agreement at time of rental.

At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation requires a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid any cancellation fee. This fee compensates us for our inability to rent the vehicle while it was reserved for your use. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source.

Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club are accepted. Drivers must present a current and valid credit card in his or her own name in order to rent.

All quoted rates are in US Dollars and payments will taken in the local currency. A rental day consists of a 24 hour period commencing with the date and time indicated on the rental contract. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If you require multiple vehicles for the same dates or overlapping periods, please make sure to use the actual name of the driver for each reservation. Otherwise the duplicate name reservations will be automatically cancelled. NU Car Rentals will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations.
