NU Car Rentals - Italy Policies & Insurance

NU Car Rentals service is provided in cooperation with BUDGET CAR RENTALS. Upon arrival, please proceed to the BUDGET counter located in the Rent-A-Car area of the Naples International Airport. The rental counter is located in the airport and you will be shuttled to your vehicle. Operating hours are from Monday through Sunday - 8AM to 9PM. Flight details must be received at time of booking if your arrival time is after operating hours. Should you need to contact us, please call +39-081- and we will be happy to assist you.

Basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection (TP), Airport/Railway surcharge and VAT are in included in your basic rate. If you are in an accident or your rental vehicle is stolen, you will be responsible for a deductible. The amount will depend on the car size. Please see the below table for the excess deductibles. Should you choose to purchase Super CDW and Super Theft, it will reduce your excess to '0'. EXR is the SCDW and STP purchased as a package. Your rental vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel. If you do not return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel, an 18.00 Euro refueling service fee will be charged to your credit card upon return of the vehicle.

One way drops are permitted within all continental cities, as well as to and from Sicily for a drop fee of 45.00 Euros. One way drops to and from Sardinai ARE NOT allowed. 1 to 2 day local rentals are not allowed one-way drops.

Vehicles may only be driven into the following countries, but cannot be dropped off there: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The only requirement is that you advise the rental counter of your plans to travel outside of Italy and inform them of the countries you will be visiting.

All international renters are required to have a valid driver's license, valid passport, one or two major credit cards and a copy of their return airline ticket. They must also provide their home and local address as well as 2 telephone numbers where they can be reached. All named drivers must hold a full, clean driver's license, valid in the country of use (an interna- tional license is recommended)and held for a minimum of one year Their driver's license must be supported by their passport or corresponding document when license does not include a picture. Additional drivers must meet the same criteria as the primary driver. Additional drivers will also be charged an additional surcharge of 7.00 Euros per day, for up to a maximum of 7 days. Minimum rental age is 21 and maximum is 75. Drivers between the ages of 21 to 24 will be required to pay an 'underage driver' surcharge of 18.00 Euros per day, for up to a maximum of 12 days. All drivers must have their name on the rental agreement at time rental.

At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain vehicles may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation requires a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid a cancellation fee of 40.00 Euros. This fee compensates us for our inability to rent the vehicle while it was reserved for your use. All reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source.

All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken at the time of rental in the local currency at the exchange rate in effect for that day. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diner's Club. We do not accept Visa Electron, Debit cards or cash as payment. A deposit will be required that will correspond to amount of the rental plus the excess for potential damage.

If we did not receive your airline and flight details at time of booking, your car will be held for a maximum of 1 hour after the pickup time received with your reservation. For 'After Hour' service there is a 40.00 Euro charge. For all Airport and railway locations, a surcharge of 16% and 8% respectively will apply on all extras not included in the rates. No refunds are given for early returns. After hour arrivals will be charged 42.00 Euros per rental. Targarent reserves the right to ask for a second credit card and/or refuse to rent at Targarent's discretion.

NU Car Rentals provides a Car Rental Affiliate Reservation System and acts as an Agent for the convenience of You, the customer and the local owned and operated rental car firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
