NU Car Rentals - Czech Republic Policies & Insurance

NU Car Rentals service is provided in co-operation with Dvorak Thrifty Rent A Car in the Czech Republic. Upon arrival please proceed to our counter located in the Arrival Terminal of the airport. Our rental counter hours are from Monday through Sunday - 08:00 to 21:00 hours. If flight information was not received at time of booking or should you need assistance, please call +420-224 826 260 or +420-800-123-000 and we will be happy to assist you. If your pick up time is outside of our normal operating hours, an 'After Hours' fee of 25.00USD will apply locally. No shuttle bus is required as all our vehicles are located within walking distance from the terminal. Vehicles are held for up to 2 hours after reserved arrival time or after actual flight arrival.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) are optional and not mandatory. Glass and Tire protection is also included in the CDW. Renter must present proof of insurance coverage for the country of the Chech Rep. or they must purchase coverage at the rental counter. We offer 2 levels of CDW: Car Type CDW 1 Responsibility CDW 2 Resp Ebmn, Ecmn, Ecmr 20.00/Day 500.00 60.00/Day 0.00 Ccmr, Ccar 25.00/Day 500.00 65.00/Day 0.00 Idmr, Idar, Cwmr 27.00/Day 500.00 67.00/Day 0.00 Fdmr, Fdar, Fvmr 35.00/Day 500.00 75.00/Day 0.00 Mvmr 35.00/Day 500.00 75.00/Day 0.00 All currency is in USD + tax. If CDW is not purchased, the renter is responsible for the full value of the vehicle. Personal Accident Coverage (PAC) is available for 4.00USD plus tax per day.

Baby, Toddler and Child seats are available upon request for 5.00USD plus tax per day. GPS is also available upon request for 15.00USD plus tax per day

All vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. Our customers have the option to refuel the vehicle prior to returning the car to the rental location. Receipt of the fuel purchase must be presented at close of rental. Our customers may also choose our Pre-Purchase option, and purchase a full tank at 1.6USD plus tax per litre (under the current fuel price in the market). Should you not return the car with the same amount of fuel as you received it and you did not purchase the 'Pre-purchase' option, you will be charged 2.5USD plus tax per litre.

One way drops are allowed between the following two locations: Dvorak Rent A Car in Brno at Benesova 18; tel- +34 and in Prague, Revolucni 25 - Tel- +60. A charge of $2.50USD per kilometer will apply.

Vehicles are driven on the right side of the road. They are allowed into all European Union countries. For all other countries, you must have prior permission from the rental counter. Renter is required to sign a waiver or addendum to the rental agreement confirming that they understand the 'Out-of Country' driving restrictions.

All drivers must possess a valid credit card in their own name, hold a current and non-probationary license (for a minimum of 2 years) from their country of residence, or an international driver's permit in conjunction with their driver's license. Minimum age is 21, maximum is 75. There is no underage surcharge Additional drivers must meet all rental requirements, same as the primary driver and have their name on the rental agreement at the time of rental. The additional driver will be charged and additional fee of EUR20.00 per rental.

At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation requires a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid any cancellation fee. This fee compensates us for our inability to rent the vehicle while it was reserved for your use. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source.

Renter must show a current and valid credit card in their own name at time of rental. Dvorak Rent A Car accepts American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa and Eurocard. Debit cards and Cash rentals are accepted but only as payment and upon return of the vehicle. Credit card requirement will still apply. A $1,000.00USD deposit will be placed on a major credit card at time of rental, should you choose to pay with cash or with a debit card. Personal checks are not allowed. Should you need to cancel your booking, please do so 24 hours prior to the reservation in order to avoid a $30.00 cancellation charge. Reservation must be cancelled through the original booking source.

Chauffeur service is available at 12.00 Euros per hour in Prague only. Please inquire at the rental counter for our chauffeur service. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There will be no refunds for early return.

NU Car Rentals provides a Car Rental Affiliate Reservation System and acts as an Agent for the convenience of You, the customer and the local owned and operated rental car firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
