NU Car Rentals - Cyprus (South) Policies & Insurance

NU Car Rentals service is provided in co-operation with MR. Rentals in Cyprus. Meet and Greet service is available when complete flight details are provided at the time of booking. Once you exit Customs, you will be met by an agent bearing a sign with your name in the Arrival Hall of the airport. The rental car is delivered to the airport. If valid flight details where not recieved, please call 2 for assistance and your car will be delivered to you in approximately 20 minutes. Cars are held for up to 2 hours after the actual flight information received.

Renter is required to provide proof of insurance that provides coverage of your rental in Cyprus. If proof of insurance is not provided, they must purchase CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), There are 2 levels of CDW: CDW Level 1- CDW Level 2- MCMN-CCAR EUR 6.00/day-Respons. EUR 500.00/EUR 9.00/day-EUR100. ICMR-SCMR EUR 8.00/day-Respons. EUR 500.00/EUR10.00/day-EUR100. PCAR EUR15.00/day-Respons. EUR1,500.00/EUR20.00/day-EUR900. STMR-MVAR EUR 9.00/day-Respons. EUR 700.00/EUR12.00/day-EUR200. FFMR-FFAR EUR10.00/day-Respons. EUR 700.00/EUR15.00/day-EUR300. If CDW is not purchased, renter is responsible for the full value of the vehicle. Glass and Tire protection is available for EUR2.00/day Should you want to cross over into North Cyprus, you will be charged an additional fee for coverage at the crossing point. Our CDW does not cover your rental vehicle in North Cyprus. Please advise our personnel of your intent to go to North Cyprus at the time of rental.

Baby, Toddler and Infant seats must be requested and are subject to availability at EUR3.00/day. Right and Left Hand Controls are not available. GPS is available at EUR9.95/day

Vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel. Customer must pay for the tank of fuel in Cyprus & return the vehicle with an empty tank. The charge for the tank of fuel will be added to the final bill. This is mandatory and therefore non-refundable.

One-Way rentals are allowed. Rental location must be adivised of one-way drop @ time of rental. Drop locations are available in the cities of Nicosia, Limassol & Larnaca. A drop fee of EUR20.00 will apply.

Restrictions on driving locally - Seatbelts are required by law. Restrictions on driving out of the country - Vehicles may not be taken off the island of Cyprus.

Renters must be 21 to 72 years of age & have a valid Drivers License in their own name from their country of residence. License must be in English or accompanied by an International Drivers Permit. PLEASE NOTE THAT DRIVING IS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD Drivers between the ages of 21-24 will be charged an additional EUR5.00/day. Underage & additional drivers must be added to the rental agreement @ the time of rental & must meet all rental requirements.

At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation requires a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid any cancellation fee. This fee compensates us for our inability to rent the vehicle while it was reserved for your use. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source.

All quoted rates are in US Dollars and payments will taken in the local currency. A rental day consists of a 24 hour period commencing with the date and time indicated on the rental contract. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If you require multiple vehicles for the same dates or overlapping periods, please make sure to use the actual name of the driver for each reservation. Otherwise the duplicate name reservations will be automatically cancelled. NU Car Rentals will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
