NU Car Rentals - Bulgaria Policies & Insurance

NU Car Rentals service is provided in co-operation with Global Rent A Car in Bulgaria. If valid flight details are received at time of booking, you will be met by an agent bearing a sign with your name on it upon exiting the Baggage claim area. Vehicles are delivered to the airport and are held for up to 2 hours after the time of arrival given at time of booking. Our operating hours are from Monday through Friday - 09:00 to 18:00. Should your pick up time be outside those hours an 'After Hours' fee of 20.00EUR will apply locally. If flight details was not received, please call 55 and an agent will have your car delivered to the airport within 20 minutes.

CDW-Collision Damage Waiver This is not an insurance, it is a waiver of deductible. If CDW/LDW is declined, renter is fully liable for the loss or damage to the vehicle. Baby, Infant and Toddler seats are available upon request for EUR20.00 per rental. Snow Chains are available upon request for EUR25.00 per rental. Ski Racks are available upon request for EUR25.00 per rental. Mobile phones are available upon request for EUR20.00 per rental Navigation-GPS is available upon request for EUR10.00 per day.

All vehicles are rented with a full tank of fuel. Vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel or an additional charge of EUR1.50 per litre will apply.

One way rentals are permitted. A EUR150.00 Drop fee will be charged for rentals under 10 days and no drop fee for rentals over 10 days between all Global Rent A Car locations. An additional fee of 0.50 EUR per km will apply to all other drop offs within the country of Bulgaria.

Driving outside the country of Bulgaria is NOT allowed without prior permission from rental location at time of rental. An additional fee will apply.

Minimum age for renting a car is 21 for groups A B and C and age 25 for all other car groups. Maximum age is 70. There is no underage fee. A maximum of 2 additional drivers are allowed and an additional driver fee of EUR12.00 per rental will apply. All renters must possess a major credit card in his or her own name, hold a current, non-probationary license from their country of residence, or an international driver's permit in conjunction with a valid license and in non-roman alphabet. All renters must meet all rental requirements as well as have their name on the rental agreement at the time of rental.

At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation requires a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid any cancellation fee. This fee compensates us for our inability to rent the vehicle while it was reserved for your use. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source.

Non credit card payments are accepted but only on car groups A B and C. Global Rent A Car accepts the following credit cards... Diners Club Mastercard Visa JCB International There is a mandatory deposit required for renting a vehicle. Amounts for deposit are by group as follows... Lost Documents- Should car documents and /or keys get lost, a fee of EUR250.00 will apply. Company Driver is available for EUR25.00/day. Additional expenses for food and driver accomodation shall be paid by the renter. After Hours Fee-EUR20.00 will be charged for pick up and/or drop off between the hours of 1800 and 0900. This fee also applies for any hour on Saturday and Sunday, as well as national holidays. An additional fee of EUR20.00 will apply for pick up and or drop off at the Burgas, Sofia and Varna airports.
