NU Car Rentals - Austria Policies & Insurance

NU Car Rentals service is provided in co-operation by Buchbinder Rent A Car in Austria. Upon arrival, please proceed to the Arrival Hall in the Airport. If valid flight details was received at the time of booking, an agent will be waiting for you. If not, please call 03196-717-330 and we will be happy to assist you. Our operating hours are from Monday through Friday - 08:00 to 18:00 and we are closed on Saturday and Sunday. If pick up time is outside the normal working hours an 'After Hours' fee of 37.50EUR + taxes will apply locally.

CDW/LDW is included in the basic rental rate. If parts of the vehicle are damaged, renter will be responsible for Euro 339, + Vat. If car is stolen, renter will be responsible for Euro 2039, + Vat. We regret to inform you that we cannot accept credit card coverages.

All specialty equipment is subject to availability upon request and cannot be guaranteed. Please submit your request at time of booking. Car seats for infants 0 to 1 and children 1 to 7 years of age are available for rental at most locations. The cost is 25.00 Euros plus tax per rental. During winter all vehicles will be equiped with snow tires and an additional fee of EUR 3.00 per day + vat will apply. Ski Racks and Snow chains are also available upon request. Car seats, from 0 to 7 years of age, Ski racks and snow chains are available for 25.00 EUR per rental, per item. GPS Navigational Systems are available upon request for 4.90EUR per day plus tax. A 300.00EUR deposit will be taken at time of rental and released when GPS is returned.

Rental cars are provided with a full tank of fuel & must be re- turned with a full tank of fuel. Missing fuel will be charged at @ the market value (price may vary because of fuel types). A Refueling charge of Euro15.00 + VAT will also be charged.

One Way Rentals within Austria are allowed with all vehicle car groups except for the STMR. A One Way fee of Euro 70.00 + VAT will apply. If a rental extends beyond 15 days, no One Way Drop Fee will be charged within Austria. One way rentals *within all four (4) Vienna city locations* are free of charge. For all One Way rentals between the Vienna Int'l Airport & to or from all Vienna City locations will be charged a One Way Drop fee of Euro 25.00 + VAT. One Way rentals to all Buchbinder locations in Germany, Slovakia & Hungary are allowed - except with the following car groups:FVMR, STMR, LDAR, LWAR, MVMN & MVMR SFAR and SFMR but a minimum rental period of three days will be required and a One Way fee of Euro 250.00 + Vat will apply.

Trips to the following countries are allowed by paying a cross border fee of Euro 10 + VAT at rental location: Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republik, Slovak Republik & Hungary. PLEASE NOTE If renter travels outside of Austria, a deposit of Euro 2400 + rental will be placed on their credit card @ the time of rental pickup. A written authorization for driving outside of Austria must be requested @ the time of the rental check out & will also be stamped on the rental agreement. If a renter travels beyond the border of Austria without written authorization by Buchbinder, the CDW/LDW insurance will not be valid & renter will be respon- sible for the full value of the vehicle. Trips to the following countries are allowed without the purchas of additional insurance. Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Monaco, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Andorra, Luxemburg, Lichtenstein, San Morino, Great Britain & Ireland.

Renter must provide a valid International, EU, USA, Canadian & Austrian Driver's License. International Licenses must be accompanied by the renter's national driver's license. All renters residing outside of Austria must provide a valid passport and credit card. Minimum age is 19 & there is no maximum as long as a valid driver's license is presented at time of rental. A maximum of 2 additional drivers are allowed & must be present on the rental agreement at time of pick up. There will be an additional fee of Euro 5 + VAT/day or Euro25 + Vat/wk. Maximum charge per rental is Euro 100. + VAT.

At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation requires a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid any cancellation fee. This fee compensates us for our inability to rent the vehicle while it was reserved for your use. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source.

American Express,Diners Club, Master Card & Visa are accepted. Debit cards are accepted but only as a method of payment at drop off time. Renter is required to provide a valid driver's license & credit card in their name. If renter remains within the country of Austria, the following deposit amount of Euro 600 will be placed on their credit card. If customer travels outside of Austria, a deposit in the amount of Euro 2400. + the rental amount will be placed on their credit card. Cash payments are only accepted upon the return of the car. Late returns: an additional rental day will be charged locally as agreed & signed on the rental agreement. If a rental car is returned outside of our regular office hours, Euro 37.50 + VAT will charged in addition to the agreed rental fee.

All quoted rates are in US Dollars and payments will taken in the local currency. A rental day consists of a 24 hour period commencing with the date and time indicated on the rental contract. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If you require multiple vehicles for the same dates or overlapping periods, please make sure to use the actual name of the driver for each reservation. Otherwise the duplicate name reservations will be automatically cancelled. NU Car Rentals will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
