SELF DRIVEN VEHICLES

A. Driver Qualification

I. Rental Requirements

1. Drivers are required to produce their original passports as a form of identification.
2. All national licenses must be valid and held for a minimum period of one year.
3. All drivers on visit or transit visa must produce their original national and international license.
4. All though, visitors from the below countries are allowed to drive in the Dubai with their local valid driving license we recommend that drivers obtain an international license as this may not apply to other Emirates within the UAE:

5. Visitors from Republic of Korea, Japan, Turkey and Greece are requested to have a translation of their license approved by the Council or Embassy. However we do recommend that an international license be obtained.
6. GCC National licenses are acceptable if drivers are holding a GCC passport. GCC countries are as follows: Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates.
7. Expatriates holding a GCC license are acceptable provided that the driver must have a current residence visa for the GCC country that has issued the license.
8. In the case of expatriates living in the UAE, a UAE license must be produced. In the case where the UAE license is less than 12 months, their national license should be produced together with the UAE license.
9. Drivers from other countries must have a valid International license plus their own National license. National or International licenses alone are not acceptable.
10. For additional drivers the above points apply as the main driver.
11. A signed credit card imprint will be taken at the start of all rentals for security reasons. The imprint may be used to cover any additional charges at the end of the rental. E.g. fuel, rental period extension, accident or damage charges, toll road crossing (Salik) and traffic fines.
12. A Customer Notice form should be signed by the renter who will be given a copy of the same.
13. All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions on the rental agreement, which must be duly signed by the driver.

II. Age Restrictions

1. Minimum age for groups A- F1 is 21 years and groups G and above is 25 years.

B. Additional Charges

1.Additional drivers are charged at A ED 30.00 per rental.
2.All vehicles have a full tank of fuel at check out. Vehicles should be returned full or fuel charges will be charged at the end of the rental as per Aplus- Budget fuel rates.
3. Toll Roads (Salik) is applicable in Dubai. The cost is AED 5.00 per crossing. Toll fees are calculated on return of the vehicle. This is a government charge and the toll roads can be avoided using alternative routes.
4. A traffic violation administration fee of AED 45.00 per traffic violation is applicable wherever violations have been incurred.
5. A parking fee of AED 25.00 per rental is applicable at Dubai airport locations and AED 10.00 for others. This is not an airport surcharge.
6.Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is offered separately or inclusive. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) is offered separately and is AED 10.00 per day.

C. Value Added Services & Accessories

I. Delivery & Collection

1. A charge of AED 50.00 will be applicable for delivery or collection within Dubai or Sharjah. For delivery or collection to or from any other Emirate a charge of AED 100.00 per rental will be made.

II. Accessories

1. Baby seats suitable for ages 6-24 months can be provided at a charge of AED 75.00 per seat per rental.
2. GPS Street Pilot navigation system is available at a charge of AED 50.00 per dayl.

III. Touring Maps and Street Directories

1. Maps are provided with all vehicles

IV. One way drop off fees

1. One way drop off fees between Abu Dhabi and other Emirates are charged - AED 100.

D. Insurance

I. Insurance Cover

1. Insurance covers use in U.A.E. only, unless prior agreement is given by Aplus- Budget UAE.
2. Vehicles are covered by full comprehensive insurance as per the UAE laws. However, a police report must be obtained at the time of an accident or in the case of damage. If the renter failed to produce a valid police report to Budget UAE, all charges incurred will be the responsibility of the client, even if CDW has been taken. No replacement vehicle will be supplied and rental charges will continue until a police report is received along with any other relevant documents.
3. In case of an accident and/or damage, the client is required to pay excess liability if CDW is not taken. A valid Police report is also required.
4. In the event of theft of a rented vehicle, the police must be notified immediately; otherwise cover would be rendered void.

II. Use Restrictions

1. Punctures, tyre damage, wheel caps, aerials and windscreens are not covered by insurance, even after paying CDW unless the damage is caused as a result of an accident and the client has obtained a valid police report.
2. Off-road driving renders the insurance invalid even after paying CDW.
3. Loss or damage to personal items is not covered under the terms of the insurance.
4. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs renders the insurance invalid. N.B. Alcohol limit is ZERO.

III. Oman Insurance

1. All cars entering Oman must have prior approval from Budget UAE. All rentals for Oman are subject to additional 20% surcharge of Aplus- Budget current local tariff rates for every day in Oman. An additional charge of AED 125.00 applies for each 10-day period will be levied in lieu of Oman Insurance Coverage.
2. For one-way drop offs to Muscat, Oman, a charge of AED 1000.00 will apply. Muscat drop-offs (one-way rentals) are restricted to saloon vehicles, small 4 wheel drives only and are subject to Aplus- Budget approval. Luxury Four-Wheel Drive vehicles such as Landcruiser, Tahoe and Hummer must be returned to Dubai, unless an approval from Budget UAE is sought on a case to case basis. There is no facility for one-way drop offs in Salalah, Oman.
3. Our Terms of Business and Insurance cover are all subject to the UAE law.


F. Other Terms and Conditions

I. Vehicle Type & Availability

1. Every endeavor will be made to provide a specific vehicle make if indicated on a reservation and voucher. However, Aplus- Budget UAE can only guarantee a vehicle category / group. If for any reason the reserved/booked vehicle is not available, Aplus-Budget UAE reserves the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle at no cost to the customer. Such action by Aplus- Budget does not constitute a breach of the vehicle conditions/contract and does not entitle the renter to any refund. If no alternative vehicle is available, Apus-Budget's liability is limited to the return of all payments made.



II. Rental Period

1. Minimum rent periods are one day that is a 24-hour period from the time the vehicle is collected or delivered with 2 hours grace time. After that time a full extra day is charged.

III. Return of Vehicle

1. If there is a change in the Collection Location at the time of off-hiring (returning the vehicle), the renter should contact the renting location or Aplus- Budget Call Center and inform them of the time and place of collection, and take the name of the person in Aplus- Budget UAE who they gave the information to.

Cash deposits are accepted. Cash Deposits is accepted,however driver must be 25 and over

The following are also accepted for deposit:

Debit Card, Traveler's Cheques, VISA Check, VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Discover, En Route, Diners Club, Carte Blanche, JCB, MCO, OTTO, Direct Bill (with special approval), Euro Card

Aplus Rent-A-Car accepts the following methods of payment:

Debit Card, VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Discover, Cash

No Charge Pick-ups and drop-offs within radius of 14 kilometers

No charge for vehicles drop-offs between Aplus Rent-A-Car locations.

Renter is responsible for all loss or damage to rented vehicle.This liability can be reduced to US$750 on cars and US$1200 on SUV and minivans by purchasing insurance coverage.
Collision damage waiver (CDW) is mandatory for US customers as most credit cards from the US no longer covers in Jamaica except master card world.
