Payment Methods
AllWays Rental accepts the following methods of payment:

Duration Of hire
The term of hire will commence and cease at the time and dates specified in the Rental Agreement. Please note: car
charges are on a 24-hour basis. First 2 hours are free; after the first hour late a full day hire applies. Campervans charges are on a calendar day basis.
AllWays Rental must authorise any rental extension beyond that specified in the rental agreement prior to the return of the vehicle. All extensions are subject to availability and must be requested through our reservations team at least 48 hours prior to the drop off date on the original contract.

Bond
A bond is required for all hires. You will be asked to sign a separate security bond in the form of a credit card imprint. This bond is held by AllWays Car Rental and is not banked. The Bond is a guarantee the vehicle is returned on time to the correct location, undamaged, with a clean interior and with full fuel tank.
The excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded only if AllWays Car Rental is successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the third party. Please note that third party
claims can take many months to resolve.

Insurance Exclusions
Water submersion or salt-water damage is not covered by any insurance option.
Personal belongings are not covered. We recommend the hirer does not leave valuables in the vehicle and should take out personal insurance.
All Excess Reduction is void if the terms of the Rental Agreement are breached. The hirer will be responsible for the total cost of any damage. This will also include any damage caused by willful conduct (e.g sitting or standing on the bonnet or roof of the vehicle) and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
None of the insurance options cover the incorrect use of fuel (fuel being diesel or petrol). The hirer will be responsible for any associated costs.

Restricted Roads
Insurance, regardless of CDW option, will be void if the vehicle is operated on any of the following roads: Ninety Mile Beach (Northland), Roads North of Colville Township, Ball Hutt Road (Mt Cook), Skippers Road (Queenstown).
Mechanical Repairs
Any problems associated with the vehicle including equipment failure must be reported to AllWays Rental
as soon as possible within 24 hours in order to give us the opportunity to rectify the problem during the rental period. We do not accept liability for any claims submitted after this period.
All vehicles are registered with the Automobile Association (AA) for 24hr roadside assistance. This service covers any mechanical faults with the vehicle. Please note that the AA does not cover the following and the associated costs will be the responsibility of the hirer:
The vehicle running out of fuel
Keys being locked inside the vehicle or lost
Flat batteries as a result of the lights or keys being left on
All AA non-mechanical call-outs will incur a call-out charge of NZ$85.

Exchange Vehicle
The availability of an Exchange Vehicle is not guaranteed.
If an Exchange Vehicle is required as a result of an accident or damage which can not be repaired within 2 working days, the hirer is responsible for making their own way to the nearest AllWays branch or pickup location.
In the event of an accident occurring and an Exchange Vehicle is not available, AllWays will not be liable for any resulting accommodation or living expenses that are in incurred.
If an Exchange Vehicle is required as a result of an accident or damage which can not be repaired within 2 working days, the hirer is responsible for making their own way to the nearest AllWays branch or pickup location.
In the event of an accident occurring and an Exchange Vehicle is not available, AllWays will not be liable for any resulting accommodation or living expenses that are in incurred.
Vehicle Return
The hirer shall at or before the expiry of the term of hire, deliver the vehicle to the branch detailed in the Rental Agreement, or obtain the owner’s consent to the continuation of the hire. Please note: No refund is available to the hirer if the vehicle is returned earlier than stated in the Rental Agreement. The vehicle is to be returned in a clean and tidy condition; if not, a NZ$50 cleaning fee may apply. The vehicle is to be returned with a full tank of petrol; if it is not filled with fuel a NZ$20 administration fee will apply in addition to the cost of the fuel. If not returned to the branch detailed, a relocation fee of NZ$500 may be charged.

The vehicle may be driven during the full period of the hire only by the persons named in the Rental Agreement, and only if they hold a valid driver’s licence. (Note: only persons 18 years and over may be hirers and authorised drivers).

Cancelation Policy
Failure to collect a vehicle on the confirmed booking date will result in the loss of that hire day unless AllWays Rental have been advised 48 hours prior of the change in booking dates.
No charge if a reservation is cancelled up to 20 days in advance.
If cancelled 7-19 days prior then forfeit 25% of gross rental
If cancelled 1- 6 days prior then forfeit 50% of gross rental
If cancelled on day of pick up or no show then forfeit 100% of gross rental
No refund is available for early returns.
Insurance and Coverage
At AllWays Rental we want to simplify things, so we have got some of the best rates and insurance options around. Rates include: Unlimited kilometres, Insurance, Goods & Services Tax (12.5%), 24 hour AA Roadside Assistance.
