Upon signing the Rental Agreement, Allstate provides primary liability protection. However, such protection is no more than the minimum limits required
by the state of Maryland. If the rental
is a "replacement rental", the liability
is the responsibility of the renter. Renters own personal insurance becomes primary in that case.

At the time of rental, a renter may purchase PDW. If purchased, renter is protected against out of pocket payment for damages, as long as the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement have not be violated.
PDW is not insurance.

For an additional charge, a renter may
purchase SLI which provides renter and any additional authorized renter with up to $1,000.000.00 combined single limit
automobile liability coverage. If accepted at the beginning of the rental, this optional protection provides excess automobile liability coverage against third party claims resulting from an auto accident in the rental vehicle, during the term of the rental.

The minimum age for all drivers is 21 years old for most rentals. Certain specialty vehicles require driver(s) to be 25 years of age. Renter must possess a valid driver's license, provide an acceptable credit card, and may be subject to an electronic driver's license verification.

Renter and authorized additional renter age 21-24: There is a fee of $15.00 per day, per underage driver. Certain specialty vehicles require driver(s) to be a minimum of 25 years of age.

** Names that appear on the rental contract for **

1. The renter.
2. Additional authorized renter.

There is no charge for spouse (last name and address on driver's license must match that of renter). All others, the fee is $5.00 per day, per additional authorized renter.

For our disabled renters: If your traveling companion shall serve as the driver during your rental, please inform us at the time of rental. There is no charge for an additional authorized renter for non-driving disabled renters.

An acceptable valid driver's license MUST
be presented at the time of rental. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the driver's license is in a language other that English, an International Driver's Permit is required. In all cases, a valid driver's license issued in your home country must be presented, whether or not you present an International Driver's Permit. You will not be allowed to rent an Allstate Auto Rentals
vehicle with only an International Driver's Permit. Renter and authorized additional renter may be subject to an electronic driver's license verification with the issuing states Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Allstate Auto Rentals will rely on the information provided from the electronic DMV verification to determine if the renter / authorized additional renter is qualified to rent / operate the vehicle.

Allstate Auto Rentals will rely on the information provided from the electronic DMV verification to determine if the renter / authorized additional renter is qualified to rent / operate the vehicle.

** A third form of I.D. may be required for rental of certain vehicles. The third form can be any one of the following:

1. Acceptable credit card other than the one being used.

2. Government issued picture I.D. such as a valid U.S. Passport, state issued I.D. or military I.D. with picture.

3. Most recent utility bill in the same name and address of the renter(address on the bill presented must match the address on the driver's license).

Renter / additional authorized renter may not operate rental vehicle in Mexico, Canada, the states of New York, Florida or west of the Mississippi River.

We do require a major credit card: Visa, Master Card, American Express,
Discover, Diners Club or Debit card.
Card must have a minimum of $250.00
of available credit (or the estimated cost of the rental plus 15%, which ever is greater) at the time of the rental.

We do not allow after hour returns. All
vehicles must be returned to an Allstate
Auto Rentals location during regular business hours and be inspected by an authorized Allstate Representative.

The estimated average per day per vehicle portion of our total annual titling and registration costs.

Renter/Additional Authorized renter pays for fuel, regardless of the amount of miles driven. A dated receipt is required for proof of final fuel purchase. Fuel must be purchased within ten miles of the Allstate location that you are returning to.
