    Airport Information
    Airport information is available from the information desk located in each terminal.

    T1, T2, T4: Arrivals Concourse
    T3: Arrivals and Departure Concourse

    Tourist Information
    A London Tourist Board Information Centre is located in the Terminals 1, 2 and 3 to assist passengers with inquiries.

    Terminal Information
    Terminals 1, 2 & 3 are all located in the centre of the airport and are within walking distance of each other via underground walkways. Terminal 4 is located on the south side of the airport, and can be reached from Terminals 1, 2 & 3 via the free inter-terminal transfer service on the Heathrow Express train, which takes approximately eight minutes.

    The car hire counters are linked to the terminal buildings by courtesy buses operated by each of the car hire companies.

    Currency Exchange
    Bureaux de change outlets are open for all international flights on each terminal. The Travelex and International Currency Exchange units in the arrivals hall are both open 24 hours.

    Lost Property
    If you've lost something in the airport, call + 44 (0)870 00 00 123. If you have left something on an airplane, please call your airline first.

    Passenger Help
    Passenger help points are located at key locations around the airport. Situated on terminal forecourts, in car parks and baggage reclaim halls they incorporate a "You Are Here" map. Each help point is fitted with a special telephone, which can be used to summon a porter.

    Porter Assistance
    Special needs travellers, disabled passengers, elderly and parents travelling alone with young children and baggage are welcome to use the help points to call for free assistance from the Skycap porters. Please note that tips are not accepted.

    Services such as postal, showers, phones, faxes and Internet connections are also available throughout the the terminals.

    Shops and Restaurants
    Here are some examples of the sorts of shops and restaurants you can find in Heathrow Airport.

    Terminal 1
    Before security, take a look in Austin Reed (clothing and accessories), Bally (fine leather goods), Burberry (classic Brit label), Boss Hugo Boss (Italian menswear), Tumi (luggage), Glorious Britain (quintessential British gifts). Snack at the Caviar House, Pret a Manger, Est Est Est and Burger King. After security, buy last-minute gifts at WH Smith, Van Heusen and Books Co. Sip a bevvie at Costa or Wetherspoon.

    Terminal 2
    Before security visit Ladbrokes (premier UK gaming), Art of Silk (ties and scarves), Primus (phonecards), Whittard of Chelsea (Brit food and china) and the Chocolate Company (offers names such as Lindt and Godiva). Fill up on carbs at Pizza Express and La Brioche Doree. After security, purchase reading material for the flight at Books Etc or WH Smith. Eat a bite at Caffe Nero or Caviar House.

    Terminal 3
    Before security, shop at Hargreaves Sports (sporting wear and equipment), Lush (handmade cosmetics), Bvlgari (Italian timepieces and jewellery), Chanel (beauty and fragrance), Virgin (music, dvds and books) and Paul Smith (first Paul Smith airport store). Eat at Delice de France, Sbarro and Noon. After security, stock up on magazines at World News. Eat at Starbucks, Chez Gerard and TGI Fridays.

    Terminal 4
    Before security, peruse Beauty Studio (cosmetics and fragrances), Caviar House (caviar and other gourmet food), HMV (music) and Escada (high designer women's wear). Grab a latte Caffe Italia or AMT Espresso. After security, get a newspaper from Books Etc or WH Smith. Nab a snack at Garfunkel's and Millie's Cookies.
