Rental Car In Aruba
Aruba is located about 12 degrees north of the equator, which is approximately 29km (18 miles) off the Paraguanį Peninsula of Venezuela. The island, one of the Lesser Antilles islands, is about 30 km (19 miles) long and about 8 km (5 miles) wide with an area of 193 sq km (75 sq miles)and a population of some 89,000.
There is no wrong time to visit Aruba. Temperatures are always mild, there is no major rainy season, the island happens to be completely outside the hurricane belt, and the ocean temperature stay around 82 all year long.
January, February and March are the most popular times to visit. During Carnival, just before Lent, the island is hopping with parades, festivities and parties. If you prefer smaller crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere, plan your trip for mid-April through September. Or, if you can't stand another morning of scraping ice from your windshield, hop the next plane and come in the middle of December.
Currency
Aruba's currency is the florin, denoted by the letters 'Afl.' , divided into 100 cents. The rate of exchange with the US dollar is Afls 1.77 for cash and Afls. 1.79 for checks. Traveller's checks are widely accepted.
Aruba's Weather
In Aruba the newspapers almost never publish a weather report because they don't need to. It is always sunny and warm, with an average rainfall of less than 20 inches a year, an average daytime temperature of 82° Fahrenheit (27° Celsius), a location completely outside the hurricane belt, and the constant cooling influence of the trade winds. The difference between day and night temperatures, and between summer and winter temperatures, is just 3.6°. The rainfall occurs mainly in short showers during November and December.

Driving the Island
The best way to see the island is to rent a car and go for an island tour. Well-known sites you can see are the picturesque California Lighthouse, the charming Alto Vista chapel and the Bushiribana gold mill ruins. The Natural Bridge, measuring over 100 feet long and 25 feet above sea level, is the Caribbean's highest and most dramatic coral structure as well as the most photographed site. The rugged backroads of Aruba run along the north coast, passing rock formations, cacti and the famous divi-divi trees. On the way back to town, Charly's Bar in San Nicolas is a popular hangout full of local flavor.
Driving Regulations In Aruba
Local laws require drivers and passengers to wear seat belts and motorcyclists to wear helmets. Children under 5 years of age should be in a child safety seat; if older they should ride in the back seat.

Drinking And Driving Laws In Aruba
There are no drinking and driving laws in Aruba, but that is by no means any reason to do so, it does in fact become quite scary to drive, so be very careful.
