In a neighborhood that has a distinct architectural style, master architect and his wife and partner Andi Pepper, have designed the 187-room, 14-floor Hotel Gansevoort to be sophisticated and minimalist. With a lavish use of leather and fabric, they have created a rich, contemporary feeling. The signature feature of the hotel will be it's rooftop - featuring a richly landscaped roof garden and an expansive loft with soaring 20-foot ceilings that will offer breathtaking city views in three directions and will be a stylish new venue for special events. A 45-foot outdoor heated pool with underwater music will anchor the roof's other side. The property will also feature a bar and restaurant managed by China Grill Management, and a 5,100-square-foot full-service spa and exercise facility, as well as a state of the art boardroom,business center and meeting room.

From JFK - Go North on 134th to S. Conduit Ave. stay to the right onto the ramp, turn left at 150th. Go Left to North Conduit Ave to the VanWyck Expressway, via the ramp on the left. Take exit 12B to 495W and keep left to the Midtown tunnel. After the tunnel, make a right onto 34th Street, a left to 9th Ave,a left on Hudson, a right onto Gansevoort, a right onto 12th St. and a final right onto 9th ave. From LaGuardia - Take Parkway West onto the Grand Central Parkway, and then exit 4 to the Verrazano Bridge. Go to the Brooklyn/Queens Expressway East. Take exit 35 to 495W toward the Midtown tunnel. After the tunnel, take a right onto 34th St. and left to 9th Ave, a left onto Hudson, a right onto Gansevoort, a right onto 12th St. and a final right onto 9th avenue.

Ono is one of the most recent additions to the successful series of restaurants owned and managed by Jeffrey Chodorow of China Grill Management. Ono is a multi-level restaurant with over 15,000 square feet of interior dining space and a six thousand square foot outdoor dining/lounge area. The restaurant includes semi-private tatami rooms, the elegant O bar, and a lush outdoor lounge, Garden of Ono, complete with private cabanas with fireplaces. The restaurant serves traditional Japanese fare, and also features a glass-bottomed Sushi bar, a sake sommelier and Robatayaki, the popular style of grilling over an open flame. Continental breakfast is served daily in Ono for Hotel Gansevoort guests.

The Chelsea Market and Historic Greenwich Village are within walking distance. Fantastic shopping can be found in Soho, which is also a short distance away. Broadway Theatres, Times Square, the Empire State Building and Bergdorf Goodman are a quick cab ride uptown. The South Street Seaport, beautiful Battery Park, the Statue of Liberty and Wall Street are south of the hotel.
