  • All equipped with HSIA. There are thirteen 1-Bedroom Fifth Avenue Suites at The Plaza. Seven of the suites can become a 2-Bedroom Suite by connecting to a Fairmont Deluxe with King bed. Fifth Avenue Suites are beautifully decorated oversize suites with separate parlour. The suite has one bathroom, which is a full marble bath, located off the bedroom, or two bathrooms in the 2-Bedroom Suite.   • Plaza Suite

  • All equipped with HSIA and flat-screen computers. There are 22 1-Bedroom Plaza Suites, available with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. The bedroom has 1 King bed and there is a separate parlour and 2nd or 3rd bedroom options (each would have a King bed). The Plaza Specialty Suites have been magnificently restored (2003) and subtly modernized to offer comfort and luxury with fine period detail. All Specialty Suites have original crystal chandeliers and decorative marble fireplaces. They offer exclusive amenities such as a luxury bathroom, custom Frette bed and bath linens, spacious closets, amoire-concealed remote control colour televisions, two phone lines with personalized voicemail along with fax machine and a breakfast alcove with a table and chairs for four people . The suite also features original artwork, custom-designed furniture and a VCR. Guests booking Specialty Suites can arrive and depart through the Guest Relations Office giving them personalized service and access to Butler staff. The 1 Bedroom suite has 1 bathroom located off the bedroom. The 2 and 3-Bedroom Suites would have 2 or 3 bathrooms (in other words, there is no bathroom in the parlour, only in the bedrooms).     The Oak Room  Hours of Operation Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Pre-Theatre dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Dinner 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Located near the front desk, this formal steakhouse not only serves the finest grilled filet mignon and prime rib, cut tableside, but also offers delicate Dover sole and tender rack of lamb.     The Palm Court  The Palm Court is located in the centre of the lobby level, just off the 5th Avenue lobby. The Palm Court was modelled after the winter garden in London's Hotel Carlton and has long been recognized as one of the premier meeting places in New York City.     One CPS  Hours of Operation Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Located across the lobby from the Front Desk, One CPS is a privately owned (not by The Plaza) old-fashioned trendy restaurant, that has an open and airy atmosphere with modern and antique touches. The menu features new interpretations of casual American cuisine. Items range in price from $8.50 to $27.50 for appetizers and $19.00 to $39.00 for main entrées.   • 25 minute walk/10 minute drive Take the one minute elevator ride to the top of the Empire State Building to gain a King Kong perspective of New York! From the 102nd floor observatory, with good visibility, views can extend between 50 and 80 miles. It's an experience not to be missed in the Big Apple on 34th Street and 5th Avenue. The 102-story structure was completed in 1932 and until recently was the world's tallest building. At night, when the atmosphere is clear, one can see the top thirty stories illuminated. With that beacon in view, visitors cannot help but feel they have arrived.

  • Distance: 30-45 minutes by taxi Transportation available by taxi or subway (from Grand Central Station). Check with Concierge Desk for directions and cost. There is a food concession and of course gift shop on Liberty Island. CLIMBING THE STATUE OF LIBERTY Visitors to the Statue of Liberty are strongly advised to wear comfortable shoes suitable for climbing small metal steps. Hard soled shoes might not grip onto metal steps, especially in winter. It is 22-stories tall and 354 steps on a spiral staircase to the top. Any visitors that aren't in good physical shape might want to skip the long lines and take an elevator ride to the pedestal and forego an attempt to hike to Lady Liberty's crown. Only 192 steps will take you to the pedestal to oversee the island and for some great photo opportunities of the Statue of Liberty looming overhead.
