Weather
Dublin is known for having a rather mild, temperate climate. It can rain throughout the year, however it is usually not heavy rain, and passes quickly. Temperatures range from 16-20°C / 60-67°F in the summer and from 4-7°C / 39-44°F in the winter.
Entry Requirements
If you are a British citizen born in the UK, you do not need a passport to enter Ireland, however all others must present a passport.
Currency
In Ireland, the currency is the Euro (€). The Euro has only been in use in Ireland since January 2002. Most banks are open Monday – Friday 10 am - 4 pm. Most places will accept credit cards, however personal cheques are not accepted.
Language
English is the main spoken language in Ireland. However Irish, or Gaelic, is also spoken by approximately 5% of the people.

Mobile telephones can be brought into Ireland, but you may want to check that the system you use will operate in Ireland. There are many public telephones throughout the city.

Medical Care
